Born in Houston, TX on February 2001 to parents Addison Alvin Whiting & Melissa T.R.B. Whiting
At 10 months old I was diagnosised with Juvenile Retinoschisis. I've had many eye surgeries to correct or stablilze my vision, re-attach retinas, Cataracts removed in both eyes, hemorrohaging in the back of the eyes, and a shunt to take the pressure off of my left eye that has Glaucoma in it. But its up to God to complete the task. Right now I have no vision in my left eye.
But my "Mom" said for a visually impaired child I am very independent. Sometimes my judgement is not great but my family & friends are there for me.
"Mom" has been my only support and is always keeping me involved in events that help me understand my vision loss and that I am not the only kid like going through this.
Sometimes its tough because other kids say mean things and are mean to kids that look different like me.
I wish that my dad would be more involved because there are lots of kids that come out with their dads to many events and my mom is always there with me.
